With numerous environmental concerns on the horizon and more than 600 million cars operating in the world today, it's not difficult to see that finding and implementing cleaner burning fuel engines is a must if we are to promote a greener earth for future generations. Thankfully, many alternatives to powering vehicle engines exist. Some of these include biodiesel, cellulosic ethanol, biokerosene and alternative rocket fuels. Hybrid and electric-powered engines are other alternatives.
1. Biodiesel HummersBiodiesel fuel uses biomass materials – decaying organic material – to create energy. This fuel burns cleaner than traditional gasoline engines, creating less air pollution and less carbon emissions. Although many want to think that “Oh this is good for the planet everyone should have one.” honestly if everyone had one we would be putting a lot of people out of jobs. In this economy I don’t think we can handle more job lay-offs. I too wish I could even come close to affording a hybrid…one day.
