It is no secret that humanity’s demand for oil may have outreached the easily accessible and available oil resources. In search of additional sources, oil companies are investing billions in the offshore drilling process. The coast of the US has shown a great promise for underwater oil, but after the massive BP spill in the Gulf of Mexico, wreaking havoc and devastation on lives and nature, is this really a viable consideration? This video reviews some of the reasons we continue to search for oil and some of the possible consequences of this dangerous endeavor.
